It’s exactly one year since I moved to Japan and it’s only fitting that I share a throwback of one of the first bowls I made here:
Soba noodles, lightly steamed carrots & broccoli, shimeji & enoki mushrooms and diced, fried tofu in a flavourful Konbu Dashi (kelp stock).

I got some time off this week as tomorrow is the first day of Japan’s Obon celebrations. But I’ll be heading to South Korea for the first time with some friends and I’m really looking forward it!
