Want a quick, cheap, healthy and filling biscuit recipe?
This recipe is perfect when you’ve got cravings but are on a budget and resource constrictions. I baked these at a hostel the other day using ingredients I got in small amounts from a bulk food shop and the supermarket. All I used was oatmeal, raw sugar, bananas, peanut butter and vegan chocolate.
Recipe as follows:
2.5 bananas, mashed
Approx. 1.5 cups oat meal (partially ground up oats)
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1-2 tablespoons raw sugar
80g vegan chocolateMix together banana and peanut butter, add in oats and sugar, mix then stir in chocolate. Bake at 180C for around 15 minutes, I did until they were golden.
These obviously aren’t the same as conventional choc chip biscuits, but they are tasty, easy to make, cheap and don’t require many ingredients
